Support under Dig a Well, Religious Dues & Seasonal Programme
Our Seasonal Programmes are designed to provide life-essentials services to the less-blessed and deserving communities in Pakistan. Under our Seasonal programmes, we address water, food and nutritional needs of marginalized communities through our Dig A Well, Feed the Fasting and Qurbani Programme.
Water for Life/Dig a Well Project
Under Dig a Well Project, Muslim Aid installs hand pumps and water supply schemes in remote and for flung areas to address the need for clean drinking water for the communities. Under DAW project, we have benefited over thousands of people in Sindh, KP, FATA and Punjab.
Feed the Fasting
Due to grinding poverty, a large number of people cannot fulfill the nutritional needs of their families in remote areas of Pakistan. Muslim Aid under its Feed the Fasting Programme, distributes Ramadan Food Packs among less blessed and poor families including widows, orphan, destitute and needy families , so that they may have sufficient food while fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. The given food packs are of sphered standard, containing different edible items like: lentils, flour, ghee, dates, sugar, rice, salt, drinks and tea item, equally enough to fulfill the nutritional needs of a family of five to seven persons for one month.
Distribution of Sacrificial Meat Among Poor
Every year, Muslim Aid shares the joy of Eid-ul-Adha through distribution of sacrificial meat among poor and impoverished communities in different part of the country. With the generous support of our donors, we serve those hundreds of families who do not have financial strength to observe and celebrate this religious festivity. We provide them sacrificial meat so that they may not feel excluded and their families including women and children can also enjoy the spirit of Eid-ul-Adha with full zeal and amusement.
