Stories of real life

There is something in her eyes that gives Momna hope for the future.

When she was asked that what she wants to be, she simply replied, “pilot and I'll fly my plane to the skies”.
It's not an answer you expect to hear often, among children and specially from girls of the slum areas.
Her elder sister Rimsha, who is 11, says “I want to be an army doctor and want to help people”.
Their father died 8 years ago of a heart attack after facing huge loss in business. Their mother has rented out there lower portion of her small house at Rs. 3500 but it is really difficult to meet educational expenses of her daughters along with household expenses with this small amount.
Rainbow Family Program proved a fortune for Momna and her sister not only helps them to carry on with their studies without worrying about their financial constraints but also gives confidence about educational endeavours.

Owais Mir 16 years old who is an orphan from AJK

And was so traumatized that he was unable to attend school and his dreams were shattered “ I had nobody to call mother or father,” said Owais.
“He was very disturbed because of loss of his parents and emerging financial crises Muslim Aid's Rainbow Family Programme has supporter Owais to regain his confidence not only in class but also in routine life “says Owais's teacher Mr Mushtaq

Tahneet Batool, 15 years old, is a good student

And her dream is to become a qualified teacher at the same school where she is studying.
“I cannot think of leaving my school” says Tahneet with tears in her eyes. “Where I can attach myself to unforgettable memories of my friends who loss their lives in the EQ”.
