Muslim Aid Pakistan Showcased its work in the exhibition, organized by Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF) and Natural Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in an event to mark the National Disaster Awareness Day Towards Resilience in Pakistan. The event was held in Peshawar University, locate in the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Muslim Aid team along with many other International NGOs, established its stall to display its work with a special focus on showcasing the interventions in FATA and KP province. The display-corner of Muslim Aid was visited by the high-ups from government and donor agencies including DG -FATA, Resident Coordinator of UN in Pakistan, Head of UN-OCHA, WFP and many others of humanitarian affairs.
Visiting Muslim Aid stall, the DG FATA appreciated WASH interventions of Muslim Aid in FATA and expressed his interest for further work in South Waziristan Agency. While complementing the IEC material and publications, produced by Muslim Aid, the head of UN OCHA Ms. Heli Uusikyla lauded Muslim Aid’s stall and apricated its contributions towards emergency and relief activities during disasters.
The UN resident Coordinator to Pakistan, Mr. Neil Buhne also visited Muslim Aid’s desk. He was also orientated by Muslim Aid team on organizational work and operations. The Media and Communication Coordinator, briefly shared with him the status of recently accomplished and ongoing projects of Muslim Aid in Pakistan.
