Muslim Aid-UK spent Rs. 100 million every year in Pakistan

3 family welfare centres,  school constructed in Balochistan

Muslim Aid is working to lessen the sufferings of vulnerable communities in the world regardless of race, creed or nationality. These views were expressed by Secretary Board of Trustees (BoT) Muslim Aid-UK, Syed Mohammad Tanzeem Wasti during a press conference held here at Quetta Press Club.
He said that Muslim Aid is a UK based relief and development agency established in 1985 and working in over 70 countries with field offices in Bangladesh, Bosnia, Cambodia, Gambia, Indonesia, India, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka and Sudan.
 Muslim Aid is celebrating its 25 years of inception and we worked with all in need, regardless of their race, religion, gender, nationality or political opinion and specialise in providing: emergency relief including food, shelter and medical support; capacity building through water, sanitation and health programmes; education and skills training; micro-financing and income generation in addition to providing specialist programmes such as orphan care.
During his visit to Quetta, three family welfare centres were inaugurated and handed over to provincial government of Quetta. These centres were established at Kutch, Varchoom and Khawas. One high school were reconstructed by Muslim Aid in Dilsora and handed over to the education department of Balochistan.  
While highlighting the natural disasters, he said that calamities cause terrible effects on human beings and the previous years were turned out to be an awful years. “I am proud of the way that our Muslim Aid staff and local partners have risen to the challenges and delivered the best possible response in the devastated areas of the country”, Wasti said.

He further briefed the media about his visits to the areas where Muslim Aid is engaged in relief and rehabilitation activities. He also highlighted the projects, which were initiated by Muslim Aid in 2009 and 2010 plan was also highlighted by him. We will continue our support to the brethren of Balochistan, he said.
