The British High Commission celebrates 25 years of Muslim Aid
We congratulate Muslim Aid on their hard work: Adam Thomson
The British High Commissioner hosted a reception at the British High Commission, to celebrate 25 years of Muslim Aid. Over 125 guests from diplomatic community, development sector and renowned personalities attended the reception hosted by The British High Commission.

Muslim Aid is a UK based relief and development agency that works to help, save and improve the lives of millions of people in over 74 of the world’s poorest countries across the globe. Working in Pakistan since 2003, Muslim Aid has successfully completed many relief and development projects, in sanitation, education, health and disaster response.
Muslim Aid has recently completed a project through the UN’s 2009 Humanitarian Response Plan which has provided access to clean drinking water and better sanitation services to over 39,000 conflict-affected families in Mingora, Swat.
On this occasion, the British High Commissioner, Adam Thomson said “UK government has a long standing relationship with Muslim Aid in Pakistan. Muslim Aid has done fantastic work for the betterment of communities in conflict-affected areas. We congratulate them on their hard work.”

Chairman Muslim Aid Lt. Gen Khalid Latif Moghal said “Muslim Aid works to address the root causes of poverty and undertakes sustainable projects to empower people to fulfil their true potential. All of our programmes are focused on empowering individuals and communities to become independent and self-reliant. Through the generosity of our donors we have been allowed not just to provide hand outs, but programmes that offer genuine opportunity for a brighter future.  Over 25 years our projects have brought millions out of poverty: God willing we will continue long into the future. Muslim Aid Country Director Khobaib A Vahedy thanked the British High Commission for hosting and recognising Muslim Aid relief work over the past 25 years in Pakistan and across the globe.
